What do the Subs cover?

Subs are paid to the Group to help with the running costs of the Scout hut, for badges, various activities on meeting nights and insurance.

It also pays for the annual fee that each member must pay to the national Scout association. (For 2014 this is £36 per child.)

How much will it cost each term?

The subs (which include the annual fee to the Scout Association) comes to £36 per term.

How can I pay?

The Group’s preferred method of payment is by standing order:- £9 monthly, £36 termly or £108 yearly.

Details of how to pay are available from the group leader or on the Subs and Gift Aid tab to the right of this post.

The Group will also accept payment in cash paid to the section leaders each term or in installments over the term.

Gift Aid

Gift aid is a simple government initiative which allows you to increase the value of your donations at no extra cost to you.

For every pound paid in subscriptions the Scout Group can get an extra 25p from HM Revenue & Customs.

This extra income will make a big difference to the Group.

Gift Aid forms will be available on the website shortly but in the meantime please ask a group leader for a form if you are eligible.  Please only fill in the gift aid form if you have paid tax over the last year.

If your child is interested in joining the group but you are concerned about whether you can afford the Subs or the uniform please contact us or ask to speak to the group leader as there may be support available.
